Jersey Shore – Brick & Seaside Heights

This past weekend, Jeannie and I were invited to stay at our friends’ (Ray & Lisa) beach house in Brick, NJ. It’s about a 15 minute drive north of the Seaside Heights boardwalk. I have to say that it was very relaxing to just sit on the deck and drink adult beverages all day.

On the menu: filet mignon, string beans, buttery red potatoes…

Drinks: assorted beers (Anchor Steam, Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams Summer), wine (Franciscan, Clos du Bois), martinis, can’t remember the rest…

Ray and Lisa’s “kids” – Bowie & Sandy:

We headed over to the Seaside Heights boardwalk at night:

Jeannie playing that game where you try to catapult rubber frogs to their “home” on the spinning lily pads. Notice the high-flying action of the frog in mid-air!:

The next day, we had some serious thunderstorms pass through the area. You can see the dark clouds leaving on the left side of this next picture:

I gladly offered to visit them again this summer.
