Heather and Ralph are freaking cool to hang with, very easy going and laid back. They were obviously totally into each other and their friends and family showed so much love and support. I love my job and wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

Emily’s dress was from Amsale and was a custom design. The flowers and petals on the bottom part of her dress were sewn on by hand by one of her close friends. I should add that both Emily and her friend both work for Amsale. Nice, huh?

The day began for me in Tribeca shooting Dave and guys getting ready. Meanwhile, Rick shot the bride and the bridesmaids getting ready at The Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue.

We headed up to Christ’s Church on 60th and Park for the ceremony. The inside of the church was amazing.

The reception was held at The Tribeca Rooftop where the decor and event planning was handled by Michelle from Pink Monkey Events. I had been there many times before, but not for a wedding. Michelle did a fabulous job with all the details and people wrangling. The entire wedding went very smoothly.

I worked this wedding with Kim from All Events Perfect. Kim recently started working for Sarah-Jane from AEP. Kim was on the ball and had all the bases covered. She was an excellent resource for me during the day, as well.

Here are some sneak peeks from the wedding. My favorite is the one of Steve smelling the bouquet – it’s sheer bliss.

First of all, it was a scorcher today. At one point, it read 103 degrees on my car’s dashboard thermometer. It was all good though. Carolyn and James had such an awesome wedding. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to shoot their wedding. They’re really great people and so much in love. At one point, I had to tell them not to worry about me (if I had a chance to eat or get something to drink) and just to enjoy themselves. I was touched – it showed me that I wasn’t just some hired hand, but a friend.
